Aktobe rail and structural steel mill (ARBZ) LLP got the certificate GOST R 51685-2013
Compliance Certificate empowers ARBZ to supply rails in a country where the standard is used, primarily, in the Russian Federation.
"Most countries in the former Soviet Union prefer rails, certified according to GOST R 51685-2013. In particular, we signed a contract for the supply of 15 thousand tons of rails in Uzbekistan with the suspensive condition of the certification of products by the above Russian GOST," said Marat Ibragimov, First Deputy General Director of ARBZ.
As a result, ARBZ, commissioned in June 2016, has started exporting its products. As of November 25, ARBZ exported 1 213.3 tons of rails out of 5 000 tons to Uzbekistan, namely, by the order of "Uzbekistan Temir Yollari" company (Uzbekistan Railways). The rest of of the planned order will be exported by the end of this year. Earlier in October, the plant exported the first batch of rails to Russia in the amount of 280.6 tons, by the order of Lebedinsky GOK JSC.
Following the results of 2016 ARBZ plans to produce up to 80 thousand tons of rails, over 90% will be supplied for the needs of "NC" Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC, the rest - to other Kazakh consumers and for export to neighboring countries.
In order to obtain a certificate of conformity GOST R51685-2013 ARBZ overcame several stages of quality assurance: laboratory testing the mechanical properties of micro- and macrostructure, bench testing, verification of operational reliability of the rail (operating time gross tons) in the experimental ring of "Scientific-research institute of railway transport" (Russian Federation).
